CareerFoundry is one of the few non-US learning platforms for UI and UX. Founded in 2013 and based in Berlin, they provide online technology education through self-paced programs and mentoring in web development, UX design and UI design. As a student, you can take their courses with the help of expert mentors and tutors and use a personalized and project-based curriculum relevant to industry requirements.
It will take 4 to 12 months to finish a course, depending on the subject. The 3 courses likely to have the greatest impact on your career are the most comprehensive and therefore expensive, while the remaining 4 are cheaper and mainly used to broaden your skill set.
Upon completion of a course, you will be issued a certificate which you can use on your resume, LinkedIn profile and during job interviews. In addition to the certificate, a technology career specialist will help you with your resume, provide you with placement guidance, and help you prepare for interviews. In fact, CareerFoundry goes as far as providing students with a job guarantee, which means you get a full refund if you’re not employed within six months of earning your certificate. Alumni of their UX Designer course have landed jobs at tech companies like Google, PayPal, Netflix, the BBC, and Amazon.
In regards to the job guarantee, it is important to note that there are many conditions that you must meet before becoming eligible. These stipulate you:

Unfortunately, CareerFoundry does not inform prospective students of these requirements when they mention the job guarantee on their website. They are only stated in the terms and conditions, which most people don’t read, so be sure to read the small print if you decide this is your preferred course platform!
We at The Interaction Design Foundation are an independent non-profit initiative with a goal that sounds like a paradox: to raise the level of global design education, while reducing costs to the minimum possible.
As a member, you can learn from 29 courses for beginners and advanced courses covering the full spectrum of UX design: from mobile UX design and usability, to UX management and accessibility. We even have a course on how to become a UX designer from scratch! All courses feature high-quality, in-depth content taught by leading industry experts and top academics, and courses are also assessed by real people. We deliver this content through both text and video material and our courses also include ‘Build Your Portfolio’ exercises which walk you through a hands-on project so you can use what you’ve learned to create case studies for your portfolio. This will come in very handy when trying to land your next field job!

The main thing to note is that Coursera does not specialize in UX. Their course certificates are therefore not recognized in the UX industry, however they offer three types of educational products:
Courses Their courses are designed and taught by instructors from some of the best universities and colleges in the world. Courses contain video lectures, text, quizzes, projects, peer-reviewed assignments, and discussion forums. Upon completion of each, you will gain official recognition for your work in the form of a shareable e-course certificate. Prices range from $29 to $99 per course.
Specializations Specializations consist of multiple courses within the same subject. If you need to master a specific skill, you can enroll in a specialization and give yourself the opportunity to obtain a specialization certificate to share on social media and present to potential employers. Prices range from $39 to $79 per month per specialization.
Online Degrees Whether you want to fully commit to a new career or shake up an existing one, Coursera offers you the opportunity. For example, you can get an accredited master’s degree for a period of time from 1 to 3 years from the comfort of your home. Prices range from $15,000 to $25,000 per degree.

LinkedIn bought Lynda.com (which used to be a leading online course platform) in 2015. The following year, LinkedIn launched LinkedIn Learning with content originating from Lynda.com. Today, LinkedIn Learning has a massive library of 8,600 online courses that’s growing by the day. Of these, 167 are related to UX.
As the name suggests, these are self-contained online courses that cover one or more topics and consist of text, video, and hands-on exercises. Upon completion of each course, you will receive a certificate to share on your LinkedIn profile and showcase your newly acquired knowledge to colleagues and potential employers.
Learning Paths Instead of searching for random courses in the field of your choice, you can browse the available learning paths offered on the platform and get a more structured learning experience. Learning Paths consist of related video courses within a specific field. For example, if you choose the “User Experience” learning path, you will get a list of 7 paths that you can potentially take, each ranging in length from 4 to 12 hours.

Udemy boasts a whopping 100,000 course library, which leaves other online course platforms in a cloud of dust when it comes to sheer choice. This number is made possible because Udemy allows instructors to create courses based on the fields they claim to be experts in. Once courses are created, instructors can launch them and charge students a fee. Unlike many other course platforms, Udemy does not list courses created by universities and educational institutions.
Since almost anyone can create and publish courses through the Udemy platform, the quality of the courses ranges from poor to excellent. Be sure to read the course reviews before signing up, and be sure to watch the course preview video so you know what to expect.
Unlike the specific user experience learning platforms covered in this article, Udemy covers a wide range of fields. This impacts course certificates earned through the completion of their UX courses. A Udemy course certificate on your resume or
